« I do my job alone, like everything else in life, simply because I can. I don't feel lonely. I understand it as meditative being and I am completely with myself.
Does that make sense? »

« I often feel lonely. I miss the exchange and above all the touch, that warm feeling that somehow gives life meaning. When I get off work and watch the others rub their flabby bodies together in the pool in the last act of being together, shoving their tongues down each other's throats in the most unsexy way imaginable, I think to myself, thank God I'm alone.»

« Sometimes the hours in the pool seem endless. In my mind, I'm already at home and trying to find a film I want to watch in the Netflix universe. « I deliberately chose this job. I always start at the left side of the pool and then move to the right end. I like this daily routine, it gives me stability in life. Yes, that's right, I hate change, which is why I also decided to be alone. It's a conscious decision, because when there are two of you, it always ends up in chaos. »

« At work, I like listening to punk rock the most. I like the energy, it drives me and reminds me of the rebel in me. Maybe having a full-time job is not a rebellious act. But let's face it the life of a rebel is mostly very lonely, there are just too few of us in the world standing for the same cause. You don't win a rebellion alone, but at least you create this bubble in which you can live quite well. »
